Numerical simulation of thermal environment in atrium and adjacent regions of a museum

The atrium with the transparent envelope has the characteristics of greenhouse effect and heat accumulation in the upper space, especially obvious temperature gradient in vertical direction. Taking the atrium and adjacent cloister of a museum as an example, simulates the thermal environment under three conditions in summer and two conditions in winter using CFD software, and analyses the energy consumption under summer conditions. Suggests that in summer, taking the atrium and adjacent cloister as a whole, the upper air conditioning units bear more load, while the lower air conditioning units bear less load; in winter, adopts floor radiant heating in the atrium.
